F/OSS in Schools

People and organizations are motivated and excited by different aspects of technology. New, stylish, compatible, powerful, integrated, simple, or elegant – each is prioritized differently depending on your priorities and philosophy. In this module, we look at attributes that make F/OSS implementation a compelling option for schools.  We also hear from technology managers who have chosen this route, with opportunities to learn about their challenges and solutions. Strategies for implementation are reviewed, along with their strengths and weaknesses.
